Summer School & LEAP Families,
Remember Monday is all day LEAP day. All students that participated in summer school or signed up for summer LEAP are invited to go on a fun day of learning at the Moore Farm and Business. We will be leaving at about 9:15 and returning at about 2:30. Students need to be picked up by 3:30 like normal.
Fun day with the ladies from the Iowa state Extension! We enjoyed making roller coasters, boats, lanterns and straw airplanes!
LEAP had such a great day with the Jackson County Historical Society.
Reminder for students who do summer school and summer LEAP. Sign up for our zoo trip on August 3rd needs to be turned in by this Thursday, June 22nd.
Yesterday, LEAP spent the afternoon at the Andrew Fire Station. We learned some very important lessons about fire safety. We may have a few future fire fighters. Thank you Andrew Firefighters!
Mrs Kilburg's summer school class is having lots of fun building and learning how to tell time!
The Iowa State Extension read us a book about bubbles! Then we made our own bubble wands out of pipe cleaners and had fun making bubbles. 🫧

We have some older versions of IM Workbooks that we cannot use. Some of the material may be the same as in their current grade, but what a way to get a jump start on future learning. These workbooks are free on a first come basis.
A little chilly for LEAP at Flora Swimming Pool, but everyone still had fun.
LEAP will be going to Flora Pool in Dubuque today. We will return around 3:20.

Another great day of Summer School-today we visited the Maquoketa Library and learned all about their Summer Reading Program. Next we stopped at Little Bear Park to read books and play! This afternoon Iowa State Extension taught us all about seeds!
