Andrew Families, Due to the extra time it will take for the middle/high school shuttles to return to Andrew this year, the afternoon buses will be about 10-15 minutes later than last year. We wanted to give you a heads-up so you weren't worried about where your children were at. If you have any questions please contact Jason James at 563.672.3221 or email him at jason.james@andrew.k12.ia.us.

Andrew Families, Due to the construction at the school, we are going to cancel our Unpack the Backpack night for tomorrow night. As much as we wanted everything to be done by now, the delays in the delivery of some HVAC equipment have caused some setbacks. We are fortunate that we have the classroom A/C units and the workers believe they will get those up and running before the start of school. That is great news because if you have been paying attention to the weather, experts anticipate the first day to be somewhere between 93-103 degrees. We will still have our event at the Drive-in tomorrow evening and we hope to see you all there. You can enter the drive-in at 6:30. We encourage families to come as soon as you are able so you can interact with families and staff before the movie. We will have yard games set up for all to play, as well as, the other activities out at the drive-in to do. Unfortunately, the train is broken right now, but there are other fun things to do. As you enter, please stop at the gate to get your coupon for a free large tub of popcorn for your family (from the Parent Lighthouse Team). Please come out and join us for fun and a movie!! The last day of 21st century after school conference was not a disappointment. We were honored to meet and listen to the founders of after school programs. We learned about several new, fun learning activities that we can incorporate into our LEAP program. Also did a little sightseeing after the conference. Had the famous beignets that everyone has been talking about. They were awesome!
