Please join us for the 2024 Parent Lighthouse Trivia Night on Saturday, February 10th. This event is a fundraiser for the Andrew School and Andrew Fire Station all in one event. Attached is the flyer for this event with information and your children will be bringing a hard copy home later this week.

One of the greatest things we can give during this season is blood. By donating blood you can save a life and at the same time help the students raise funds for classroom materials. Below is a flyer, QR Code, and a person to contact to get signed up. I hope to see you there!!
Take your family for a stroll through downtown Maquoketa, read the great Jan Brett book The Animals' Santa, and then stop at the Maquoketa Public Library Children's Room to select your own reward book from the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. It's one of the benefits of being in a community full of great partnerships!

Andrew Elementary will be closed for Winter Break from December 21, 2023, to January 3, 2024. During this time, both of our gyms will be closed as well. The old gym floor has started to buckle and is getting a much needed facelift over break. We hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved break filled with relaxation and family
time.

Attached are two opportunities we sent home with your children. These activities are over winter break. Both activities seem like something fun to do, a great way to meet others, and at a very low cost. I hope some of you take advantage of these wonderful opportunities!!
This holiday season we have students who are in need of new or gently used winter gear and shoes. Tomorrow at our holiday concert, we will have a giving tree set up at the front entrance with ornaments containing various items our students are in need of. If you are interested in giving, please stop by and take an ornament. Please bring requested items to the front office by Wednesday, December 20th. We will also have our Toys for Tots bin out if you'd like to bring a new wrapped toy to donate. Thank you for your help in our efforts to continue to support our students and community! As a reminder, Andrew School is supporting Jackson County’s Toys for Tots toy drive. We are collecting new, unwrapped toys NOW through December 15th. Please bring all unwrapped toy donations to Andrew School.
